Alila Ubud is just of the Alila hotels all of which are of an exceptional quality and the Ubud edition is certainly no exception with a huge suspended infinity edge that looks straight out into the jungle and woodland areas that surround Ubud. Ubud is a popular alternative area to stay in Bali where the culture is strong and the Balinese people are very welcoming and full of life. Located high in the mountains with fresher temperatures and incredible views of the forests and rice paddies and well as the Ayung River that glides through the valley that runs through Ubud. At about one hour from the international airport, the Alila Ubud is slightly further away then most of the southern beach location but this is a small price to pay to escape the hordes of partying tourists and escape to the cultural heart of Bali. Besides this the drive to get to Ubud is one of the most beautiful drives in Bali.
Alila Ubud presents 56 modern representation of the traditional styles rooms with local timbers and fabrics used to great effect around the room. There is an open front which is closeable and shows the hillsides and breathtaking scenery which will be the first sight you see everyday. There are deluxe rooms, superior rooms, garden villas and villas that overlook the river valley. All rooms have ipod built in that have a huge library of music including relaxing and Balinese music as well as a selection of modern and classic music that can be enjoyed at any time on your entertainment system. International telephones and satellite television are both standard as are mini bars and fridges. All of the beds and bedding have been supplied by Bali's top ploh supplier and are extremely comfortable and the en suite bathrooms are to die for with large bath tubs and showers with hot and cold water as well as all of the amenities that you would use at home.
The pool at the Alila Ubud is unreal and has won rewards in the past for its epic grandeur; there is also an incredible spa that is a large matrix of different rooms all of them decorated fantastically to give a riverside cabin feel with Balinese enchantment. There are a number of services available including the traditional Balinese massages, the Javanese cream baths and other styles from around the world that have been perfected by the incredible and talented bar staff. There area a whole range of things to see right on your doorstep from the monkey forest to the ruins and traditional villages and art markets. With so much to see and such little time to do it there are guided tours and trips that will allow you to see more than you would be yourself. Alila Ubud offers some incredible tracks through the countryside and with push bikes or by jogging and walking you can experience the countryside and some of the fantastic view points that area perfect for taking memorable photos.
